My First eSIM Experience with Airalo

Staying connected abroad can be an expensive endeavor.

Major US phone carriers offer international data packages, but I’ve yet to find one that is particularly…ideal.

Some charge $10 USD per day to access cellular data in another country. Some may technically offer international data access for free (at 256 kbps), but it is rarely enough to operate Google Maps in a crowded street. These same companies offering free connections also offer paid daily and monthly rates.

If you are short term or infrequent traveler and you plan to be away for more than 5 consecutive days, it is typically in your best financial interest to opt for a 1-month international data plan for $50+, depending on your carrier and plan.

Then there’s always a physical SIM card, bought in advance or at the airport, for the country you’re visiting. You’ll have to swap it out for your current SIM and need to keep track of your personal SIM during your travels.

What about wifi hotspot rental? I’m a huge fan of wifi hotspots, but if you aren’t needing to connect multiple devices all of the time there’s really no need to carry and keep charged this extra device during your trip.

Being able to use your phone abroad shouldn’t be so complicated, and it should not require a flow chart to help find a moderately reasonable price.

Consider an eSIM from Airalo. Airalo offers eSIMs in over 200 countries. Simply download and install the data pack for your destination and get connected when you land. That’s it.

I tried out Airalo this summer and let me say - it’s very easy to use. I was intimidated by the idea of purchasing something in advance that could potentially not work. I was worried that I’d arrive and not be able to fully maintain contact as I’d planned, and that I would have wasted money along the way.

Choose the amount of data you’d like and how long you need it to last, and check out.

Follow the easy-to-use install guide for your phone type before departing. Upon arrival, activate the SIM per the guide and get connected! During my recent trip I was online before I ever finished up at immigration. This made is SO easy to arrange my transportation from the airport to kick off my trip seamlessly.

Right now, Airalo is offering 15% off of an eSIM booking for new users just by entering promo code NEWTOAIRALO15 at checkout.

Returning users can get 10% off their next eSIM with code AIRALOESIM10

Check out the website or app today travel affordably with an eSIM from Airalo.

That money saved can be saved to plan for your next trip or used to support a local business at your destination. Or both!

Sounds like a sweet deal to me.
